The Pharmacist of the Year award is given annually to a Manitoba licensed pharmacist who, in the opinion of their peers, has made a significant contribution to the profession during their career.

Pharmacist of the Year

The Pharmacist of the Year award is given annually to a Manitoba licensed pharmacist who, in the opinion of their peers, has made a significant contribution to the profession during their career.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Elected office in provincial and/or national; pharmacy organizations
  2. Committee involvement with provincial/national pharmacy organizations
  3. Practice achievements
  4. Mentorship, high practice standards, and innovation
  5. Not a previous recipient of the Pharmacist of the Year Award by Pharmacists Manitoba or previously awarded by the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba (CPhM)
  6. Not a current member of the Pharmacists Manitoba Board of Directors or Awards Committee
  7. Preference will be given to nominees who are members in good standing with Pharmacists Manitoba
  8. Submissions for this award must be received by the Board of Directors prior to the end of the day on March 15, 2024

Nomination Details:

  1. Letter of nomination;
  2. Curriculum vitae of the nominee – limited to five pages;
  3. Letters of support – a maximum of three additional letters of support, each describing how the nominee meets the eligibility criteria of the award for which they are being nominated;
  4. Auxiliary documents – a maximum of two pages of additional information in support of the nomination may be provided;
  5. Nominations not selected in the year in which they were originally submitted will be considered by the committee in each of the next two years and nominators may update their submission by the nomination submission deadline in each year; and,
  6. These guidelines are suggested; however, all nominations submitted in any given year will be considered by the Committee.
  7. The Pharmacists Manitoba Pharmacist of the Year Award is not necessarily granted every year.
  8. The nominee may not be currently serving as a Director of Pharmacists Manitoba or on the Awards Committee, except in an ex-officio capacity.
