Perceptions and Attitudes Towards Pharmacists in Manitoba

An online survey was conducted by Abacus Data from February 26th to March 7th, 2019 of 500 Manitobans.

The percentage of Manitobans who think it is a ‘good or very good idea’ for pharmacists to provide the following services are:

  • 93% - Allowing pharmacists to administer immunizations, such as the flu shot, shingles vaccine, pneumococcal vaccine and travel vaccines;
  • 83% - Allowing pharmacists to access for and prescribe medications for Urinary Tract Infections;
  • 84% - Allowing pharmacists to access for and prescribe birth control
