This year’s theme for Pharmacist Awareness Month is ReThink Pharmacists, which was developed in partnership with CPhA and other provincial associations. The goal for our campaign is to inform the public and the government in Manitoba about the services that Manitoba pharmacists offer. This year we are holding 2 social media contests, one for the public and another for pharmacists. Additionally, we are sending posters to MLAs encouraging them to ReThink the role that pharmacists play in Manitoba’s health care system.
The contests began March 1, 2019 and ends March 31st, 2019. Participants must be Manitoba residents. For more details about the contests see the information below.
In order to enter the public contest, participants must share our post on Facebook, retweet it on Twitter or comment tagging 2 friends on Instagram. The winner will be drawn at random and will receive an electronics gift basket, containing Apple Airpods, an Amazon Echo, Ring Doorbell and adjustable angle mount for the Ring Doorbell. Feel free to share this information with your patients and non-pharmacist friends.
To enter the contest for pharmacists, pharmacists must download and print one of our posters or bag stuffers and share of photo of it the item on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the promotional item using the hashtags #ReThinkPharmacists and #pharmacistsmb. Pharmacists are encouraged to put posters up at their pharmacies, seniors’ homes, clinics and schools. One lucky pharmacist’s name will be drawn to win a full registration for the 2019 Pharmacists Manitoba Conference.
