Lisa Zaretzky

BIOGRAPHY

Lisa grew up in Pine River, Manitoba and with a young family of 3 children and many personal challenges, she graduated from U of M with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.

In 2005, Lisa opened her Apothecary adjoining the Morden community clinic with the focus on clinical care and one-on-one prescription consultation. And in 2013, Lisa graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Colorado.

She went on to obtain advanced training in Weight Loss Coaching, Pain Management, Certification in Travel Health, Palliative Care, psychiatric pharmacology, and most recently embarking on becoming certified in Sexual Health through the University of Alberta. Lisa is authorized to administer medications by injection, prescribe medications to quit smoking and for self-limiting conditions, to requisition and monitor blood work, and prescribe for uncomplicated cystitis.

Lisa’s service to the community also extends to leading walking groups; participating in local health fairs; providing vaccinations during the pandemic; maintaining a strong presence on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn; and, hosting health talks. Lisa also maintains a keen interest in the education of future pharmacists, and is a regular preceptor for students from U of M and for international pharmacists.

In 2018, Lisa built her new Pharmacy and Wellness Clinic in Morden and now has several private consultation rooms; as well as a full range of services through her telehealth platform. Lisa has three adult children and maintains a unique work/life balance. She enjoys a variety of physical activities and spending time with friends and – most importantly – her family.
