DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Checking prescriptions for accuracy;
  • Counseling on prescription medications;
  • OTC counseling;
  • Health management consulting;
  • Participation in SDM programs including cognitive/enhanced services as these programs may evolve over time and as required by the business; and
  • Collaboration with pharmacy assistant to accurately dispense prescription medications.

MARION PHARMACY

Bilingual Community Pharmacist – Career Opportunity (English)

Winnipeg, Manitoba

Our client, Marion Pharmacy, is looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to fill the full-time, bilingual position of Community Pharmacist in their innovative practice. In this position, the incumbent will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care and specialized clinical services to a diverse group of patients. All applicants must demonstrate a dedication toward patient care and take pride in providing an outstanding customer experience.

The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications:

  • Completion of a B.Sc. Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • License to practice pharmacy in Manitoba and is in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba
  • Minimum of two (2) years of community pharmacy experience
  • Certification to administer medications via an advanced method (i.e. administering injections)
  • Minor ailments and smoking cessation prescribing certifications (using an accredited program approved by the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba)
  • Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Oral and written fluency in French and English
  • Experience with Kroll pharmacy software is an asset

The successful candidate will display an interest in innovative pharmacy practice, have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, and must be able to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task. Full or Part Time Pharmacist Position – Pharmacy Manager position available for the right candidate.

Virden Drugs is a family owned and operated business.  We are looking for a full or part time pharmacist who wants to grow with our company.  We currently own two independent community pharmacies in southwestern Manitoba.  The position of pharmacy manager is available for the right candidate.  New graduates are welcome to apply.  The ideal candidate will be friendly, confident, possess strong English communication skills and be willing to work as a team.

Job Title:  Pharmacist, Operations Manager

Location:  Winnipeg, Manitoba

Description: Providen Pharmacy Logistics provides management, operational, regulatory, information technology, and central fill support services to community based pharmacies and healthcare facilities.  We work with institutions, nursing stations, physician offices, pharmaceutical wholesalers / manufacturers and other health care providers to build strong local services for our community pharmacy clients and patients.

As a member of the Providen team, you will become part of an innovative solution based company focused on delivering optimal care to patients in all settings. 

The Pharmacist, Operations Manager is accountable for the overall operations at the Central Pharmacy and to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures set forth by the Pharmacist Manager and the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba.  The Operations Pharmacist will also provide clinical support to nurses, physicians, and patients ensuring optimal care.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage all pharmacist responsibilities as set out by College of Pharmacists of Manitoba, including but not limited to; prescription counselling, checking, patient reviews
  • Met all operational needs, including, but not limited to, pharmacy staff duties and hours
  • Manage Staff Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Assistants, and Clerks
  • Ensure pharmacy meets all requirements set forth for narcotic and controlled substances
  • Be involved with development and implementation of Policy and Procedure Manuals for Central Pharmacy and/or Institutional practices

The Pharmacist is accountable for the overall operations at the Satellite Pharmacy and to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures set forth by the Providen management team and the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba.  The Pharmacist will also aid in the program development, implementation, marketing, and patient care activities that support health promotion within the community.   The Pharmacist is an important part of the overall community health initiative and is required to liaise with physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and other external stakeholder relations.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage all pharmacist responsibilities as set out by College of Pharmacists of Manitoba, including but not limited to; prescription counselling, checking, patient reviews
  • Ensure pharmacy meets all requirements set forth for narcotic and controlled substances
  • Be involved with development and implementation of pharmacy marketing initiatives to patients, health care providers
