GLENBORO PHARMACY

Part-time Pharmacist

Glenboro Pharmacy is an independently owned pharmacy in Glenboro.  We are currently seeking a qualified pharmacist to work in our new store.  We have been in business for over 50 years and recently moved to a brand new location.  Pharmacists are on duty M-F 9-5:30 – no evening or weekend shifts.

  • Fill and check prescriptions quickly and accurately
  • Work effectively in a team environment with pharmacy assistants and other pharmacists occasionally
  • Communicate effectively with patients and health care providers
  • Be self-motivated
  • Hard-worker
  • Ability to use Kroll operating system is an asset
  • Opportunity to use osteoporosis ultrasound machine for clinic days, if desired
  • Opportunity to administer injections for clinic days, if desired

Pharmacy Manager – Innovative Practice Setting

Position: Full Time (Pharmacy Manager)

Location: Marion Pharmacy, Winnipeg, Manitoba (located in St. Boniface)

 

Qualifications/Requirements

-Currently holds a license to practice pharmacy in Manitoba and is in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba

-Completion of a B.Sc. Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy

-Certification to administer medications via an advanced method (certified to administer injections)

-Minor ailments prescribing certification an asset

-Smoking cessation prescribing certification (using an accredited program approved by the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba) an asset

-At least 5 years of community pharmacy experience including pharmacy managerial experience

-Demonstrates exceptional communication skills

-Demonstrates exceptional leadership skills

-Demonstrates a strong attention to detail and organizational skills

-Demonstrates an ability to work both independently and in collaboration with others (staff and other healthcare professionals)

-Displays an interest in innovative pharmacy practice

-Experience with Kroll pharmacy software

-Demonstrates a dedication towards patient care and takes pride in providing an outstanding customer experience

-Able to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task

-Demonstrates excellent decision-making ability and an ability to prioritize

-Oral and written fluency in French an asset

 

Responsibilities

As part of a dedicated pharmacy team, the incumbent will be responsible for managing pharmacy store operations and applying pharmacy policies, standards of practice and applicable laws and regulations to the pharmacy environment. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for training, supervising, evaluating and providing a supportive and motivating environment for staff. The incumbent will also be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to a diversity of patients and be involved in providing specialized clinical services.  Additional responsibilities will include accurate and timely prescription preparation, patient counseling, conducting medication reviews, providing a high level of patient support and managing workflow.  A high degree of professionalism and inter-professional collaboration is also required. The incumbent will also be required to work every 2nd-3rd daytime shift on Saturday if required.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

If you are a Pharmacist who enjoys working in new environments, and is looking for regular daytime hours, this may be the role for you!

Calian employs over 550 civilian healthcare professionals across Canada who work in the Canadian Armed Forces medical clinics providing healthcare services to active military service members. 

A Pharmacist is needed to support Health Services delivery at CFB Shilo. In this role, you will be responsible for dispensing medication and educating patients on their medications. Liaising with Physicians and reviewing medication inventory will be part of your regular duties. Working with a great team, you will have the opportunity to directly impact the health and wellbeing of our Canadian Armed Forces. 

The pharmacy operates Monday-Friday, daytime hours only. 

THE QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Licensed with the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba

TYPE OF ASSIGNMENT:

Contract, with possibility of extension.

BROADWAY PHARMACY

Full-Time Pharmacist

Broadway Pharmacy is an independently owned and operated pharmacy with a long history of serving the community of downtown Winnipeg and surrounding areas.  We are currently seeking a qualified pharmacist looking to work in an exciting, high-pace pharmacy environment.

The Ideal Candidate would be able to:

  • Fill and check prescriptions in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Work effectively in a team environment with other pharmacists and pharmacy assistants
  • Communicate effectively with patients, care providers, and health care professionals
  • Engage in an expanded scope of practice including administering injections and prescribing for self-limiting conditions
  • Be self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Proficiency with computers, Kroll, and PacMed would be beneficial

Store hours are 9-6 Monday to Friday with occasional weekend shifts (9-5 Saturday, 11-3 Sunday).  Position is full-time but consideration may also be given for part-time for an exceptional candidate.
