GRAND MEDICINE HEALTH SERVICES

Part-Time Pharmacist

Grand Medicine Health Services is a progressive healthcare provider integrating community, hospital and compounding services out of three Manitoba locations. We are presently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to help us part-time in our location inside Health Sciences Centre.

Your primary role will be to help provide exceptional professional consultation to every Grand Medicine client.

The successful applicant has a desire to succeed, an efficient style and is team oriented.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

·         Dispensing medications in an accurate and timely manner

·         Working with Regulated Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants to deliver excellent customer service

·         Assisting the Pharmacy Manager

·         Delivering health promotion programs as required

You will bring to the role:

·         Qualifications in pharmacy

·         Thorough knowledge of OTC and prescription medications

·         Authorization to administer a drug or vaccine by injection (or willingness to achieve)

·         Authorization to prescribe a drug for self-limiting conditions and smoking cessation (or willingness to achieve)

We offer excellent part-time hours with shifts starting no earlier than 8:30am and ending no later than 7:00pm, limited Saturday hours and no Sundays, along with competitive remuneration and benefits including paid parking.

Duties

Qualifications

Store hours

Monday to Friday 9:30am - 6:00 pm

Saturday 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

No Sundays or Holidays

Employment will be Monday to Friday with rare Saturday shifts as needed and agreed to.

MCGILLIVRAY MEDICAL/PROFESSIONAL CENTRE

Mcgillivray Medical/Professional Centre (*Opening summer/fall of 2017*): 

State of art, 14,000 sq ft. medical complex, in a modern strip mall plaza, located 1/2 km west of Sky Zone Trampoline Park on Macgillivray rd.  Excellent location as patients will travel from Oak Bluff and surrounding rural areas, as well as Whyte Ridge and rest of south end of city.  A lot of development happening here.  

We are looking for a pharmacy to open up in our plaza. We have a confirmed medical clinic in place.  Other tenants include optometry, physiotherapy, other health professionals. Plenty of parking.

GLENBORO PHARMACY

Part-time Pharmacist

Glenboro Pharmacy is an independently owned pharmacy in Glenboro.  We are currently seeking a qualified pharmacist to work in our new store.  We have been in business for over 50 years and recently moved to a brand new location.  Pharmacists are on duty M-F 9-5:30 – no evening or weekend shifts.

  • Fill and check prescriptions quickly and accurately
  • Work effectively in a team environment with pharmacy assistants and other pharmacists occasionally
  • Communicate effectively with patients and health care providers
  • Be self-motivated
  • Hard-worker
  • Ability to use Kroll operating system is an asset
  • Opportunity to use osteoporosis ultrasound machine for clinic days, if desired

Pharmacy Manager – Innovative Practice Setting

Position: Full Time Pharmacist

Location: Marion Pharmacy, Winnipeg, Manitoba (located in St. Boniface)

Qualifications/Requirements

-Currently holds a license to practice pharmacy in Manitoba and is in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba

-Completion of a B.Sc. Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy

-Certification to administer medications via an advanced method (certified to administer injections)

-Minor ailments prescribing certification an asset

-Smoking cessation prescribing certification (using an accredited program approved by the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba) an asset

-At least 2 years of community pharmacy experience

-Demonstrates exceptional communication skills

-Demonstrates an ability to work both independently and in collaboration with others (staff and other healthcare professionals)

-Displays an interest in innovative pharmacy practice

-Experience with Kroll pharmacy software

-Demonstrates a dedication towards patient care and takes pride in providing an outstanding customer experience

-Able to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task

-Demonstrates excellent decision-making ability and an ability to prioritize

-Oral and written fluency in French an asset

-Class 5 drivers license required

Responsibilities

As part of a dedicated pharmacy team, the incumbent will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to a diversity of patients and be involved in providing specialized clinical services.  Additional responsibilities will include accurate and timely prescription preparation, patient counseling, conducting medication reviews, providing a high level of patient support and managing workflow and technical staff.  A high degree of professionalism and inter-professional collaboration is also required. The incumbent will also be required to work a daytime shift every second Saturday.
