The small vibrant rural Community of Miami is offering a permanent full time Pharmacy Manager position, or consideration would be given to permanent part-time employment. Westaway Pharmacy is a dispensary-only pharmacy and is located one hour from the perimeter and 20-30 mins from Carman, Morden and Winkler.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy
  • License to practice in Manitoba
  • Oral and written fluency in English required
  • Oral fluency in French an asset, but not necessary
  • Injection certificate and Minor Aliments and smoking cessation prescribing an asset
  • Experience with Kroll pharmacy software an asset Experience in Retail Pharmacy an asset

Successful Candidate must be able to:

  • Ensure accuracy of all prescriptions dispensed
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in counseling patients and talking to healthcare professionals
  • Must have good management skills
  • Must be able to work independently and work as a team player.

Ebbeling Pharmacy is an independent community pharmacy located in the East Kildonan neighborhood of Winnipeg that has been in business for over 60 years. We are seeking an enthusiastic, results driven pharmacist to join our pharmacy team.

The pharmacist will report directly to the pharmacy manager and work collaboratively with pharmacy and front store staff to provide patients with exceptional care.

Key responsibilities of a pharmacist at Ebbeling Pharmacy include:
  • checking prescriptions for accuracy
  • counseling on prescription medications
  • OTC counseling
  • health management consulting
  • collaboration with pharmacy assistant to accurately dispense prescription medications
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy
  • Licensed to practice Pharmskillsacy in Manitoba and in good standing
  • Outstanding interpersonal 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  • Experience dispensing Methadone maintenance therapy
  • Authorized to administer injections
  • Authorized to prescribe for self limiting conditions and smoking cessation an asset
  • Proficient with computer software

Although hours worked and days off will be flexible, the successful applicant must be able to work until early evening and open to working weekends. The salary and benefits package will be competitive within industry standards.
