Heather McLellan is a pharmacy assistant with a Pharmacy Technician Certification from Winnipeg Technical College, graduated in 2001. She brings 23 years of experience in community pharmacy in Portage la Prairie. Heather has completed compound training, compression training, and custom flat knit training to further her skills.

She is a dedicated professional who balances her work with her role as a spouse, mother to four, and grandmother to two boys with another grandchild on the way. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering in the community and pursuing photography as a hobby.

Collaborating with her pharmacists, Heather has successfully expanded her responsibilities in pharmacy to include community-based services such as custom compressions, medical supplies, custom fittings, and organizing immunization clinics. These services have been particularly beneficial to the residents of Portage la Prairie, especially during the recent pandemic.

Heather takes pride in providing convenient and essential services locally, eliminating the need for residents to travel to Winnipeg for similar services. She believes that by meeting the needs of the community in this way, she is fulfilling her role effectively as a pharmacy assistant.
