Your Role:
  • Comply with Provincial Pharmacy Regulations, and ensure adherence to Provincial Practice Standards and Guidelines within pharmacy;
  • Follow Provincial Drug Formulary, and advise Manager, Retail Pharmacy on Provincial Regulatory changes;
  • Maintain Patient Confidentiality and follow all practices consistent with the Privacy Act;
  • Ensure compliance with NIHB Claims Submission;
  • Ensure compliance with Store Operating Procedures as defined by HP&S division, and implement and maintain Operational Standards;
  • Manage pharmacy staff, including orientation, training, employee accountabilities, and leadership;
  • Provide patient-focused, positive outcome care, with strong efforts to collaborate with healthcare professionals and community agencies within district. Strong emphasis on educating the community; and
  • Recognize and develop business opportunities, and understand the importance of building and nurturing relationships within the community, including Healthcare Centers, Nursing Stations, and Physician Clinics
Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy;
  • Licensed by relevant Provincial College of Pharmacists;
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision;
  • Maintain Continuing Education Requirement for Provincial licensure;
  • Effective communication skills to counsel, educate, and instruct patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals;
  • Previous management experience (preferably 1 year) and community-oriented;
  • Experience with Pharmacy Software Programs, experience with Kroll is an asset;
  • Highly motivated with a passion to bring our communities products and services to live better;
  • Ability to manage a team of approximately 2-8 staff; and
  • Effective leadership with excellent people skills, and a great ability to build trust and relationships

The College of Pharmacy and Nutrition
Three Open Faculty Positions in the Divison of Pharmacy, Saskatoon, SK

The College of Pharmacy and Nutrition invites applications from qualified individuals for three open Faculty positions in the Division of Pharmacy.
  1. Lecturer – Pharmacy Practice
    Responsible for teaching in the PharmD program, primarily in the area of practice skills and patient care, both within the classroom and simulation lab. Further responsibilities include some course coordination and teaching of various pharmacotherapy topics in the PharmD program. The successful candidate will also be expected to maintain a clinical practice equivalent to approximately 10% of their time, preferably in a community pharmacy setting.

  2. Lecturer – Pharmacology for Nursing and Pharmacy Students
    Responsible for teaching pharmacology/pharmacy related subjects in the Doctor of Pharmacy program, as well as the College of Nursing and the School of Rehabilitation Science. The successful applicant will coordinate and teach Pharmacology for Nursing to students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing and the Post-Degree BSN programs. Further responsibilities include instructing in the areas of pharmacology to pharmacy and physical therapy students, and other pharmacy-related subjects.

  3. Tenure Track Faculty (Academic Programming) Appointment
    Focused on teaching and clinical practice, at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Division of Pharmacy, the successful candidate will teach in the PharmD program, primarily in the area of geriatrics and will be required to establish and maintain a relevant clinical practice in a pharmacy setting, equivalent to approximately 20% of their time. The successful candidate will also be responsible for engaging in scholarly activities, supervision of undergraduate students, and relevant administrative activities.
