The Pharmacists Manitoba membership year runs from July 1st to June 30th each year. Fees are pro-rated as of January 1st of each year.

Active Member
A licensed, practicing pharmacist in good standing under the Pharmaceutical Act, with voting rights. Professional liability insurance is available as an add-on.
New Graduate Member
A licensed and practicing new graduate in good standing under the Pharmaceutical Act, with voting rights. Professional liability insurance is available as an add-on
Associate Member(non-practicing/retired)
A pharmacist who is not licensed to practice, or a non-pharmacist acceptable to the Board who does not have voting rights.
Student/Intern Member
Students and/or Interns who require professional liability insurance are asked to contact Pharmacists Manitoba for more information.

Professional Liability Insurance Add-On:
The Manitoba Pharmaceutical Act Regulations require all licensed pharmacists be covered by professional liability insurance that provides a minimum of $2,000,000 per claim or per occurrence and a minimum $4,000,000 annual aggregate.
Pharmacists Manitoba Membership provides access to Professional Liability Insurance through the Canadian Pharmacists Benefits Association. Pharmacists have several options for coverage including the required $2 Million per occurrence /and $4 Million aggregate, an increased coverage of $5 Million per occurrence and aggregate, and the option to purchase a supplemental policy that will cover you for potential gaps in your employer’s policy.

*Supplementary Policy: Please note: The CBPA Supplementary insurance policy affords pharmacists of member associations the opportunity to purchase additional insurance to supplement the coverage they would have through a pharmacy chain. (If you are relying solely on coverage through your employer, keep in mind, it may not be enough to adequately protect you. See FAQ for more information)
