Professional Liability Insurance
Designed specifically with pharmacists in mind
Pharmacists Manitoba is dedicated to providing our members with the relevant tools and resources to succeed professionally. This is why we offer professional liability insurance through the Canadian Pharmacists Benefits Association (CPBA).
What are the insurance requirements?
The Manitoba Pharmaceutical Act Regulations require all licensed pharmacists be covered by professional liability insurance that provides a minimum of $2,000,000 per claim or per occurrence and a minimum $4,000,000 annual aggregate.
The CPBA Professional Liability Insurance policy has you covered
Pharmacists have several options for coverage including the required $2 Million per claim limit and an increased coverage option of $5 Million per claim and aggregate.
Both options meet or exceed your provincial regulatory insurance requirements in all aspects.
Pharmacists who are already insured with an employer’s liability insurance policy have the option to purchase a Supplementary policy that will cover you for potential gaps in your employer’s policy. It is important to note that you must have VALID primary coverage in order for the Supplementary insurance to respond. Please ensure that the primary coverage has not lapsed, was cancelled nor is invalid.
More information about the CPBA Professional Liability Insurance program and options can be found here.
